Our Instructors

Satu Anderson — Instructor
Satu has been involved in fitness most of her life. In her early teens. she spent all her free time at the dance academy studying jazz, contemporary and hip hop dance. And if there was any time left, you could find her practicing her 100 meter sprints in track and field.
At the age of 16 she participated in her first aerobics dance class and already at the age of 18, she had become a nationally certified group exercise instructor. Satu spent 5 years teaching group exercise classes in her hometown Gothenburg, Sweden before she moved to Guadalajara, Mexico in 1990, where she continued teaching her classes. In 1994 Satu relocated to San Diego California and established herself again as a popular and loved fitness instructor. By the time she moved to Sacramento in 2001, she had obtained a long list of certifications, including but not limited to AFAA, NESTA, Body Pump, Turbo Kickboxing, Rep Reebok, cycling, step aerobics, stretch and flexibility, and the list goes on…
In 2005 Satu and Kenny teamed up and started the Busy People Outdoor Fitness Camps. With Satu’s extensive background and love for teaching group fitness combined with Kenny’s boxing, gymnastics, and team sports background, they knew they could bring Sacramento what they have been waiting for-the ultimate Fitness Boot Camp work-out!
What Satu hopes to bring to the table is a lot of positive attitude, motivation, engagement, participation and encouragement! She wants every person to realize that being and staying strong and healthy takes a lot of hard work and dedication, and she will be there to push you, encourage you, motivate and inspire you through your journey!

Kenny Anderson — Instructor
In his youth, Kenny participated in numerous sports such as; football, gymnastics and track and field. As he developed into a teenager, he struck an interest in other sports like boxing at the neighborhood recreation center. Kenny went on to fight in the preliminaries in the Jr. Olympics in the late 70’s at the age 14.
While attending high school in Tucson, Arizona, he discovered the love for football and track and field! He became a top scholar as a running back for Catalina High School and was looked at by major Colleges like Arizona State, University of Arizona, Pima College and San Diego State. While playing in a state championship football game his senior year, Kenny suffered a major knee injury, which hurt his chances of being picked up by a major college. After graduating form high school, he moved to San Diego California, where he attended San Diego Mesa College on a partial scholarship. He joined the track team and competed in many events and he also participated in the Sun Kist invitational track meet, where he ran against Carl Lewis and other major athletes to compete for the Olympic trials.
On his off season Kenny took an interest in Kempo Karate (UKF) and became a brown belt over the years and fought in many point Karate tournaments in California, Arizona and Mexico, placing first and second in his belt division. He even won the grand champion trophy at the Disneyland invitationals in the early 90’s.
After about five year of fighting, Kenny wanted more. He was looking for a challenge, so he joined a local Thai Boxing Dojo to master the art of fighting.
While attending school at San Diego State, he worked part time at the local gym, Family Fitness, now known as 24 Hr Fitness, as a certified Group X Instructor, teaching Turbo Kickboxing and weight training! Kenny discovered that he loved working with people and wanted to share his training experiences with others and help motivate and encourage people to be the best they can be! With his background the sky was the limit and he knew that he wanted to pursue a career in the fitness industry, so he began to work as a certified personal trainer and later on decided to start his own in-home training business. Kenny worked with many children in San Diego in both groups and one on one, teaching them self confidence, the importance of exercising and eating right, in order to maintain good health!
By the time Kenny moved to Sacramento California, he had trained over a hundred clients ranging from the ages of 14 to 65! And now he wanted to show the world how he could help them become healthier and stronger human beings by simply exercising more and eating right, but doing it all in a group atmosphere! So he and his wife Satu created Busy People Outdoor Fitness Camps!
What Kenny has to offer is over twenty years of sports training experiences. His passion for human well being and the willingness to be there for you regardless of what you are trying to accomplish. He will be tough, but at the same time show kindness and compassion when needed. Kenny will inspire, coach and push you to your limits and make your experience at the Busy People Outdoor Fitness Camps the best ever!
